Neil Young, “Roxy: Tonight’s the Night Live”

Neil Young, “Roxy: Tonight’s the Night Live”. This was recorded #live over a series of a few nights in September of 1973 that Neil Young and the Santa Monica Flyers were playing two sets a night at the Roxy Theater on the Sunset strip in LA. While it’s a compilation of those nights with the sound of it, the whole organic experience of it comes off live in the room with you. You can imagine yourself in the audience. So here’s where things get weird, this #vinylalbum... released in 2018... recorded in 1973. This live album was right after the “Tonight’s the Night” #album was recorded. “Tonight’s the Night” didn’t even come out for another two years because the label thought the album too dark. For more irony... the songs on Tonight’s the Night do sound a lil dark, like the band just learned them. But on this album the band is looser with the songs and they sound lighter. #audiophile #hifi #neilyoung#neilyoungvinyl #vinylcollection#roxytonightsthenightlive
