Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, “Horizon 9 (Live). I’ll start with #NotYourFathersClassicalMusic ! This is Classical music for people who hate classical music. This album rips, shreds if you will. It is also one of the most intensely #psychedelic albums I have heard in a while. It’s certainly #audiophile and it has an unrelenting intensity that only gives you moments to breathe... just to remind you of the heights it takes you.... like a film score. We’re talking at times a melt your face off intensity. The recording and dynamic range are rather excellent . You’re going to want to turn this one loud and probably will need the appropriate system to handle it... but it so rewards a capable system. The soundstage is beyond expansive... my listening room somehow just magically expanded into a cavernous concert hall. Don’t like classical music?... I’d still say give this one a listen.
