#aboutlastnight Part 2 (Of 4). I received an invitation for last night that I just couldn’t pass up. Let’s call this Room One, the focus in this room was more on dCS’s Vivaldi Dac and master clock and of course the Wilson Audio Sabrina speakers. The Sabrina’s were powered by Moon by SimAudio 400M mono blocks... mostly this was another highly enjoyable appetizer for what was to come later in the evening. Yes, things got even better than this wonderful room. While listening, an interesting experiment was performed... now of course all cabling and power cabling in this room was rather nice... not extravagant per se but rather nice. The dCS master clock had an entry level audiophile power cord attached that was maybe four hundred dollars... when a normal basic inexpensive power cord was put in its place... clear as day to everyone present all the soul of the music left and now sounded hollow.
