Beastie Boys, “Paul’s Boutique”

Beastie Boys, “Paul’s Boutique”. In some regard this album hid in plain sight, right out in the open, for years. As their 2nd album it did not do as well as their first. So Capital Records... simply stopped promoting the album all together. Of course those who knew... well they knew... but this album largely wasn’t recognized as something special until quite sometime after its release. And it’s almost entirely made up of samples barring the vocals. The modern world is wise to this album as it’s one of those albums that’s on every best list, or must have vinyl lists, etc. Basically the world wrote them off as one hit wonders... no these gentlemen are breakthrough artists. The other artists that made this amazing album what it is... Dust Brothers. The Dust Brothers are some of the very few who started layered sampling as an art form itself. Pioneers if you will. They’re also partly responsible for numerous hit records. So sure you could go bump this album almost anything and it will sound good. But on a revealing system there are all sorts of fun crazy little details that come out to play. Enjoy! #audiophile#hifi #audio #music #vinyl#vinylcollection #records #stereo#recordcollection #vinyljunkie#nowspinning #turntable #sound#vinylcollector #vinylcommunity#highendaudio #hifiaudio#headphones #recordcollector #rpm#audioporn #vinyladdict #nowplaying#audiophiles #record #instavinyl#vinylrecords #vinylporn #beastieboys#paulsboutique
