Vampire Weekend, “Father of the Bride”. Break out your eagle eye, look very closely at the pictures. Notice anything weird? Also, if you’re the type... this is where you should stop reading and go closely examine the pictures and find what doesn’t make sense. What is very unique about my album specifically? If you’re the just tell me type, well here goes. So to recap a previous post involving this album digitally, I love it, it’s incredible. Also I had to wait for the vinyl version as I have tickets soon ish to see Vampire Weekend. With the tickets came a cd of the album or the option to do a vinyl upgrade. I winged it, took the upgrade without hearing the album first. So voila here’s my FOTB album that has already gotten a number of spins. So the album comes gatefold with a disc on each side and a poster in the middle. Not only have I yet to even look at the poster (pretty common for me)... apparently in all the times I have put this record on already.. I have never looked at the labels on the record. You know side a, b, c, d... well I apparently have a misprint. Two side C’s and two side D’s. I have seen no record of this so far online. When you put the left side C on it’s actually side A, B is on D. Flip to the right side disc and C is C, D is D. Don’t know how to even catalog it on discogs properly. Confusing but very cool. Enjoy!
