Nine Inch Nails, “CRC Sessions”

My favorite coffee arrived yesterday. It’s a cold but very sunny morning with rays sneaking into the room. Coffee and sunshine and a bootleg. As my own version of an #audiophile I’m often at odds with the quality of most bootlegs. As an avid concert goer I’d say it’s pretty unusual for a bootleg to recreate the experience. But this one is straight from the soundboard... and no it’s not difficult to find in Hi-res. Nine Inch Nails, “CRC Sessions” 04-27-2000, Chicago Recording Company. This was recorded 04-27-2000 and it was a very unusual show for NIN. This happened in the middle of the Fragility 2.0 tour, the band made a pit stop for a special shortened in studio show at CRC. Some of the tracks were rearranged entirely and stripped down in an entirely new manner for the band (at the time). This is as close as Nine Inch Nails gets to an acoustic show. Many argue that this was the basis for tracks that ended up on “Still”... and that is why Trent never officially released these early versions officially before they were finished on “Still”. #hifi #nin#nineinchnails #acoustict
