The Beatles, “Sgt. Peoper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band”

The Beatles, “Sgt. Peoper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” 50th Anniversary version, forensically mixed by Giles Martin. #vinyl . I feel like so much grew from this album. Not just The Beatles themselves, but also the industry, music production, songwriting, using a studio as another musical instrument, assisting in the development of prog rock, ditto for #psychedelic #rock, the beginning of McCartney’s dominant creative force and control, and all the bands and genres of music born from this tipping point of an album. In some regards this is patient zero, the epicenter. It was at a turning point for the #beatles as well. They started recording/experimenting right after they made the decision to no longer tour. Touring was pointless and dangerous.. the fans just screamed louder than the band could play, not to mention they just acted like rabid animals. McCartney had an idea for an Edwardian military band as the impetus for a song, which then evolved into an excuse for musical and technological experimentation and freedom to play an entire album as a fictional band. Some may argue that the Revolver album right before Sgt Pepper’s was the true beginning... and perhaps that is true. Enjoy! #audiophile#sgtpepperslonelyheartsclubband #hifi#vinylcollection #nowplaying
