Things are starting to become more of a tangible reality. Still need to do several boards, then testing with power, etc... but tangible steps closer to making a preamplifier. Those purple boards are designed by Wayne Colburn of Pass Labs. Got those from him at last fall’s Burning Amp in San Francisco. Crossing fingers that once they taste power the magic smoke stays inside. And there of course is still a chassis to draw up... but I’m getting there. A few other have these boards and I hear they’re dead quiet and have zero personality which is exactly what I am looking for... I want to only focus on the sound of amplifiers.
